2022 Manitoba Budget
Manitoba’s Budget 2022: Recover Together – Strengthen. Invest. Build. is the last of the Western Canadian budgets to be introduced this fiscal year. Budget 2022, tabled by Minister of Finance Cameron Friesen earlier today, positions Manitoba for a strong path to recovery with a focus on strengthening health care, making life more affordable, building the economy, investing in communities, and protecting the environment.
Manitobans saw a $854 million increase in revenue compared to budget 2021 due to government business enterprises and a $455 million increase in federal transfers. Homeowners will also be happy to see an average of $1,355 over two years in savings through the Education Property Tax Rebate, putting money back in the pockets of Manitobans.
