2026 Enterprise Canada Summer Government Relations Internship
Enterprise Canada is looking for a highly driven intern who is passionate about government and public relations. The ideal candidate is interested in starting a career in the public affairs sector and building experience in government relations.
This position is located in Toronto. The start date for this internship is June 1, 2026.
Ideal Skillset
- Being able to work on multiple issues simultaneously.
- Preparing top-notch content, including presentations, letters, briefing notes, and speaking points.
- Monitoring and following the news of the day and tracking government agendas and activities across multiple policy areas.
- Supporting other members of the team to ensure alignment of core goals and objectives on files.
- Understanding and adopting best practices for communicating with government, industry stakeholders and, influencers in a digital-driven environment.
- Knowledge of social media and public relations.
What You Bring
- Education: graduated from a post-secondary institution in a related field.
- Ability to coordinate and work on multiple files at the same time.
- A keen interest in politics, policy, communications, and social media.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Attention to detail and excellent command of written and verbal communications.
- The ability to be flexible and adjust quickly.
