Atlantic Practice Welcomes Cal MacLellan
Halifax, NS – Enterprise Canada welcomes native Haligonian and former Director of Communications to now-Premier Tim Houston, Cal MacLellan to the newly-launched Atlantic Practice as Director, Public Affairs.
Cal is a seasoned communications professional with a strong media, government, and digital content creation background from a variety of industries in both the private and public sectors. Most recently, Cal worked as the Director of Communications to now-Premier Tim Houston and the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Caucus, helping them win a majority government mandate in the August 17th provincial election.
“We are incredibly lucky to have Cal as our first hire for our Atlantic Practice,” said David Tarrant, Vice President, National Strategic Communications and Atlantic Practice Lead. “Not only does he have over 15 years of national and regional experience, but he was also an integral member of the incredible team behind the recent Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative campaign victory.”
Cal also spent time in Ontario, serving as Director of Communications to Ontario’s Minister of Children, Community and Social Services and worked in media and journalism with CTV and Sportsnet, and in communications with the Ontario Medical Association and Citibank.

Born and raised in Halifax, Cal is a graduate of Dalhousie University and Fanshawe College and is active in his community in the form of playing, refereeing, and doing play-by-play for broadcasts around the soccer pitch.
