Sarah brings experience from her frontline work in some of Canada’s largest newsrooms to her work in strategic communications planning and execution, media training and relations, public affairs, issues planning, crisis management and content production. She carries a deep knowledge of the inner workings of modern journalism, media consumption, demographic outreach and the power of effective communication.  

Since joining the firm in 2017, Sarah has played a key role in executing integrated communications, media relations, issues management and reputational strategies for private and public-sector clients, including some of Canada’s largest companies across sectors spanning education, consumer products, health, energy and finance. She manages the Enterprise team focused on communications strategy and support, issues management preparation and media training, leading sessions with major companies and provincial government ministers and officials in Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia. 

Prior to joining Enterprise, Sarah held positions at the Toronto Star, National Post and Microsoft Canada, most recently as senior production and team manager for Toronto Star’s digital platforms. Sarah plays a key role in Enterprise’s media training program, leading sessions with C-suite executives, regulators and health officials, as well as Enterprise’s Women in Media Fellowship Program, in partnership with Women Who Lead.   

Inside Experience

  • Held roles at Toronto Star, National Post and Microsoft Canada, most recently as senior production and team manager for Toronto Star’s digital platforms.
  • Media trained C-suite executives, regulators and government officials, and is the lead media trainer for Enterprise Canada’s Women in Media Fellowship Program.
  • Experience with private and public-sector clients in the education, energy, finance, infrastructure, health and consumer retail spaces.
  • Background in digital UX (user experience for analog readers), interpreting analytics, and optimization.
  • Graduate of Ryerson University’s journalism program.
